Introducing the 2024 Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV

But the AMG version of the EQE SUV is something else. It’s a new breed of electric performance that combines the innovation of the EQ class with the power and sportiness of AMG, Mercedes-Benz’s in-house performance division.

The Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV features two powerful electric motors that deliver up to 677 horsepower and 701 pound-feet of torque. That’s more than enough to propel this electric beast from zero to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds, according to Mercedes-Benz.

The 2024 Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV also has a fully variable all-wheel drive system that can distribute torque between the front and rear axles for optimal traction and handling. The AMG Ride Control+ air suspension with an adaptive damping system provides a smooth ride and adjusts the ride height depending on the driving mode and speed.

The Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV also features rear-axle steering, which can turn the rear wheels up to 10 degrees in either direction to improve agility and stability. The AMG-specific roll bar stabilization reduces body roll and enhances cornering performance.

The 2024 Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV has a sleek and muscular design that sets it apart from other electric SUVs on the market. The front fascia features a large black panel grille with vertical chrome fins and an illuminated AMG logo. The LED headlights have a distinctive four-point signature that resembles a torch.

The side profile of the Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV showcases its aerodynamic shape and short overhangs. The 21-inch or optional 22-inch AMG wheels add to its sporty stance. The rear end features a spoiler, a diffuser, and four round tailpipes that emit a simulated exhaust sound.

The interior of the 2024 Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV is spacious and luxurious, with plenty of headroom and legroom for five passengers. The seats are upholstered in Nappa leather with AMG emblems on the headrests. The dashboard features a large 12.8-inch touchscreen that runs the MBUX infotainment system with AMG-specific functions and displays.

The Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV also comes with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster that can be customized with different themes and modes. The steering wheel has touch-sensitive buttons and paddle shifters that control the regenerative braking intensity.

The 2024 Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV has a battery pack with a capacity of 108 kWh, which gives it an estimated range of 340 miles on a single charge, according to the European WLTP cycle. The actual EPA-rated range may vary depending on driving conditions and habits.

The Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV supports fast charging up to 200 kW, which can replenish up to 80% of the battery in about 30 minutes. The vehicle also comes with two years of complimentary Electrify America public charging and a two-year service package.

The Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV is expected to go on sale in the US in late 2023 or early 2024, with a starting price of around $110,000. That’s about $30,000 more than the base EQE SUV but still cheaper than the Tesla Model X Plaid, which starts at $129,990.
