The new Land Rover Classic Defender Works V8 Trophy II limited edition
Land Rover Classic pays tribute to the global Land Rover expeditions by producing 25 Classic Defender Works V8 Trophy II cars with a unique exterior design.
For more than 70 years, Land Rover cars have been driving in terrain that was previously inaccessible by car. The 2022 Land Rover Classic Defender Works V8 Trophy II cars feature a unique camouflage design representing 23 places the legendary 4x4 model has raced during its 70-year off-road history, including The Camel Trophy and the G4 Challenge.
Along with the opportunity to purchase a unique collector's item, customers are also invited to take part in the exclusive three-day Land Rover Trophy competition. The Land Rover Trophy creates memorable experiences for like-minded enthusiasts where they get the opportunity to challenge themselves during an exclusive and unforgettable event. Customers will undertake off-road challenges inspired by our famous expeditions worldwide—all under expert guidance. After three days, one team will be left as the winner. Customers will be left with lifelong memories and get to know their cars in a completely new way.
The unique Land Rover Classic Defender Works V8 Trophy II models in camouflage design pay homage to Land Rover's outstanding off-road heritage and builds on the Defender models from 2012 to 2016. The cars are stripped of all equipment and hand-built to exacting standards and high specifications by our dedicated Land Rover Classic team.

The Land Rover Classic Defender Works V8 Trophy II Limited Edition model is equipped with a 5.0-liter V8 petrol engine with 405 hp, a 515 Nm, and an 8-speed ZF automatic. The car has also been upgraded with better suspension, steering, and brakes. Customers can choose between 90, 110, or 110 Double Cab Pick-Up for the first time in a Trophy model. Of the 25 exclusive cars, Land Rover Classic will only build five Double Cab Pick-Up models, while the remaining 20 vehicles will be split equally between the 90 and 110 models.
The distinctive black and white exterior features a unique camouflage design developed by the design team at Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations. The bodywork in Fuji White with a contrasting roof in Narvik Black and exterior details in Gloss Black has been completed down to the smallest detail with, among other things, rivets, screws, and air intakes. 18" Sawtooth alloy wheels in Gloss Black complete the design theme.
The camouflage design shows 23 places that Land Rover has conquered during its 70 years of exceptional off-road driving. These include historic off-road challenges and recent Land Rover expeditions in South Africa, Laos, and Peru, among others.
The upgraded exterior improves the car's unstoppable off-road capabilities. The protective A-pillar has a built-in winch in front of a custom front grill. The black hood in Satin Finish reduces reflections in bright conditions, while a powerful LED light ramp of 1.27 meters provides optimal visibility when off-road driving in the dark.
The new Land Rover Classic Defender Works V8 Trophy II offers 500mm wading depth, a rear tow hook, rock guards, and an external roll cage for extra body protection when off-roading. The rear ladder supplies effortless access to the roof rack, and all cars are equipped with a Land Rover Trophy logo and a white logo on the mudguards.
Recaro sports seats in black and white Windsor leather with contrast stitching offer optimal support and comfort. The handcrafted leather interior continues on the dashboard, doors, and headliner for an exclusive finish.
The modern infotainment system in the Land Rover Classic offers built-in navigation and connectivity with state-of-the-art multimedia functions on the authentic dashboard. Land Rover's ergonomic Pistol Shifter for the 8-speed ZF automatic gives better driving control.

A unique Elliot Brown Land Rover Trophy clock in the dashboard's center echoes the exterior camouflage design. Elliot Brown offers Trophy owners a unique, rugged Competitor's Edition watch. In addition, Elliot Brown is also launching 1,000 Limited Edition watches inspired by the Classic Defender Works V8 Trophy II for those who did not have the opportunity to secure one of the exclusive Limited Edition models.
For customers looking to upgrade their Defender with designs from the Works V8 Trophy II, Land Rover Classic will offer Trophy-inspired original accessories later in 2022.
The new Land Rover Classic Defender Works V8 Trophy II with 90, 110, and 110 Double Cab Pick-Up are now available to order direct from Land Rover Classic, with prices starting at £225,000 for the 90 version in the UK.
